Terranauts was created by Mexican journalist and storyteller Encarni Remolina. With a background in television and educational radio, she has long focused on making knowledge engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
Now raising a bilingual family — Mexican and American — she began searching for content that her own children could enjoy and learn from in both languages.
But that kind of content was hard to find. So she decided to create it.
Terranauts is a podcast where curiosity leads the way — through science, animals, and imagination.
With the goal of creating truly educational and high-quality bilingual content, Encarni invited her close friend Anne Kassam — fellow mom and native English speaker — to join the project. Anne helps ensure that every English script and narration feels natural, accurate, and true to the spirit of the show.

Terranauts fue creado por la periodista mexicana Encarni Remolina, quien con experiencia en televisión y radio educativa, ha hecho de su enfoque el hacer el conocimiento accesible, interesante y significativo.
Ahora que cría una familia bilingüe — mexicana y estadounidense — comenzó a buscar contenido que sus propios hijos pudieran disfrutar y del que pudieran aprender en ambos idiomas.
Tras darse cuenta de las pocas opciones existentes con ese tipo de contenido, surge la idea de crear Terranauts.
Un podcast donde la curiosidad guía cada aventura — a través de la ciencia, los animales y la imaginación.
Con la finalidad de que el contenido fuese verdaderamente educativo y de alta calidad en ambos idiomas, Encarni invitó a su amiga Anne Kassam — también mamá y hablante nativa de inglés — a sumarse al proyecto. Anne se encarga de asegurar que cada guion y narración en inglés suenen naturales, precisos y fieles al espíritu del programa.
